Can't give a more accurate render time than 'about 7 days' 'cuz computer
decided to reboot at 6 days...photons, focal blur, media, radiosity,
yadda yadda yadda.

It looks a little washed out. Perhaps you could work on the lighting to
increase the contrast (primarily, darken the dark areas)? Or just photoshop
it =)

The focal blur looks really high quality, and the photon effects are very
pretty.

I would have suggested a different rug color, like perhaps dark red, to fit
the library theme.

Otherwise, it's a very good image. I must admit I have a hard time figuring
it out, though; there's an angel, obviously, and a sword hovering in front
of her, but I have no idea what it represents.

Nice picture in the background =)

Took a bit of work to get it where it is, I was trying to get one gas
lamp to illuminate something properly (it still doesn't)...and the scene
without the ambient media is WAY overlit.

The pretty photons are the result of many struggles with fighting with
them...the results were pretty disasterous when I had the media collect
at more than 1.0. Focal blur is 100 samples, confidence .999 variance
0.001.

Strange, I always thought a library should have green felt-like carpet.

Well, the hovering sword doesn't represent anything in particular other
than being a start at an approximation of a sword I own and something to
bring out the depth of field in that area...as for the angel...I'll do
a render looking at the wall behind the camera some time.
