the logo itself is really good. the lighting, reflections, highlights,
etc... Though it could use a better environment i think.

Very nice !

But it looks a little empty on the edges of the image, maybe you should
add some objects (eg. the tools used to do the drawings:pens, eraser,
ruler, compasses...), or zoom on the logo...

I think the blueish "table" background needs some texturing and a radiosity
render would be awesome. Great job on the glass texture!

As Ross Litscher mentioned, the logo is very nice. The drawing beneath it,
however, does not look correct. My mother drew houseplans by hand, on a
drafting table for twenty years, and never once did I see her make a line
freehand like those in the bottom drawing. My brother is in college to
become an engineer, and I can't imagine his doing so either.

Since so little is done by hand now, perhaps a large finished drawing with
pencil notes would be more familiar to most.

Oh... yes... hummm... but....

The drawings on the scene are the real ones. I just scanned my
working papers about the GNUstep Logo and add them in the scene.

The drawing beneath can be see as the "making of" the scene.
I don't use anything else but pencil, paper, Vi, POV-Ray and The Gimp.

Of course, this scene need more work, but it's on the way...

Much better with the CSG cleaned up! And, as I said before, I think the
sketches are *great* where and as they are. I'd be wary of cluttering the
surrounding area up much...
