Was trying to play with photons in the caustic effect, but was only
getting one or two dim 'streams' of photons...need to figure out how
to make it look more like this.

Wow - beautiful idea IMHO :) I can't wait to see final image

'fraid you'll have to...this render took 14 hours, and when I
turned on photons it took 45 minutes to caculate 41 million at
.15 spacing (running my machine to the ragged edge of memory)
Actually this image is a slight diversion from the OTHER scene
I'm working on...which I guess I could get back to now, finish
my stained-glass window

Timothy:
Shouldn't this be called "Feel the Funk (Nudity)"?
Seriously, though. This is an interesting effect.
But what exactly am I looking at?

Nice idea. Nice pic. Could you turn the brightness up a bit? ;)

Wahaha. Funny! You should be comedian!

lovely caustics
large hollow sphere containing texture with interior
media with 1 intervals, 0.0001 confidence, 1 variance,
isotropic scattering rgb<0.002,0.002,0.002>, spherical
destiny...for some reason 1 intervals looks nicer than
higher values up to about 20 or so.
victoria 3.0 figure, a hairpiece by some guy named Koz,
two copies of angelynawings heavily mangled, with the
following textures: one has interior with caustics and
dispersion, the other has no shadow and iridescence 0.4
thickness 0.13 and media of spherical destiny, 5 intervals
to avoid large black spots, same confidence/variance as
the other, absorbing rgb<1,0,1>, emitting rgb<0.729167,0,1>
...hmm 0.75 would be a nicer number

That's beautiful. How is it done, refractive wings?

That is a mighty fine image!
Actually, I don't know what the render time is like, but this ought to look
pretty stunning if it were animated too...
Andrew.
Mmm... I wonder if *real* human females actually look like that... *sigh* I
guess I'll never know :'(

She's lovely. They should do a "Which is the REAL one?"
competition...
That would be fun to do. ;)
