Hello, i was wondering if anyone has suggestions on the glass jars in this
image. the pigment is typically something like rgbft <1, .5, .5, .2, .8>
the dark ones on the left look ok, but the well lit ones look odd. should I
ditch the filtering? i have no real colored glass jars to compare to.
original render was at 1024x768 and took over 6 hours. the jars and lamp are
macros of sorts :)
thanks,
ross

I think that it looks too cool for words. Very nice lighting.

It is *very* nice. But the lit ones look like they are floating over the
table. If they are supposed to contain a liquid, maybe you could make this
stand out from the glass by making the liquid darker, for example. That is a
however a cheap trick to hide the problem. Maybe the glass needs photons to
shine onto the table, or the enviroment is too simple. I don't think the
material for the glass is wrong.
That was
me again.

thanks! they don't have liquid in them. was planning on putting things in
them that a wizard or witch might have need for. powdered newt lips and
such?
i agree that they looked like they were floating, i can see how photons
would help that. i'm working on a less simple environment, slowly but
surely.
thanks for the hints,
ross
