Ok, Heres the candles I've been working on. I like how things are turning
out so far. Does anyone have any hints on good ways to make an open book? or
a Stone Floor/walls?
Thank you all for your helpful comments last time, I'll post the source in
P.B.S-F as soon as I have a chance to put it all in one file. (probably
tomorro at this time assuming I survive my finals)
As always Comments and suggestions welcome.

good looking candles. I especially like the middle one. the flames on the
two others seem a bit to perfectly ovular.. um.. i can't spell. Oval-like,
how's that...
excellent glow on the wax. the wooden texture on the stand looks a little
small or something. As for a stone floor, maybe try making some kind of tile
piece with CSG and then put a granite or other similar normal to it. then
with a few while loops, just tile the floor. its not the best way, but its
not too hard. you could probably just make a texture on a plane that looks
similar to the individually tiled floor.

I've included the image on which I'm working on now and then. So far, I
spent
most of the time on the flame (e.g. the candle is just a cylinder.)
So, the candle and the wick need some work, but since candles seem to be
in fashion at the moment, I post mine, too.

I know about the flame problem. (you may also not that there is no wick)
The flame was borrowed from another image where the it was in the
background. I have another that I'm working on but finals got tin the way.

Thank you.

I have spent more time trying to work out how to make a good wood texture
and I just cant seem to get it right. If someone has a good tutorial on
making wood pigments, finishes, and normals look real I'd love to hear about
it.
Thanks for the advice on the floor. I work more on it sometime next week.
