Hello all,
Here is my first post to the Newsgroups, and my last povray image. It was
rendered at 4800x3600, it is illuminated with two arealights and no
radiosity to improve rendering time (around 24 hours in a 2100 XP athlon
with 512mb). Attachment is 1024x768
Hope you like it.
Best regards / Fernando Doutel

Very nice work! Do you have a link to any more of your renders?
Impressive!

Hi, Lance, thanks for your comment. I'm working on it. I'm planning to post
more renders in caos. deviantart.com, but I haven't found the time for it.
Best regards / Fernando

That's a great picture. How did you model it?

Hi, models are available in www.stmuc.com/moray. I did not model them. Even
though the model of the BSA is great, textures are not, so I had to spend a
lot of time modifying them, specially the metallic painting of the two
motorcycles. Trees are generated with maketree, grass with makegrass. I also
spent a long time playing with the wall texture and the floor. In order to
have a decent rendering time, I had to remove radiosity in favour of two
area lights, one above, and one close to the camera. The scene was set up
using Moray.
Best regards / Fernando

Maybe you should have mentioned that the bike is a CSG-model
done by Steve Welch. And I do not find the lighting and materials
(especially the specular/phong highlights and the reflection settings
of the motocycle) very convincing.

Fernando.
