The chairs are an experiment in using an intersection of 3 prisms. Not as succesful an
outcome
as I'd have liked. Added the rest for fun.

Oh yeah, I used light-groups for the first time too, to add the specular highlights on
the
balls.

I like it :) I like abstraction in general ;)
Nice image, only radiosity/area-light could be more detailed, and maybe all
scene should be brighter (assumed_gamma and/or light_source rgb)

Thankyou. It is radiosity only (except the balls which have a point light affecting
them too).
Yes, I agree, there are artifacts under the chairs which are unpleasant. The scene was
brighter originally, but was lit a little uniformly by the sky sphere, so I added the
back and
side walls causing most of the light to come from the front-right direction. I agree
that it
should be brighter though.

Andy Cocker

The "walking ball" is nice touch and I see no need to make it brighter.
If you could somehow manage it to make the edges of the chairs more
smooth (somehow I think for an image like this there should be no
sharp edge visible) and just some more radiosity samples and the image
would look really great.
just my 2ct

Not possible with the technique I used unfortunately, but I agree with you - more
rounded.
I'll have to find a better way of modelling the seats.

I like the colors and the lighting. It doesn't look too
dark to me. Imaginative work.

Thanks. Yes, i think I agree now that the lighting should stay pretty much 'as is'
