Seems to have clipped the beam after the first mirror. I can't understand
why it's only diffused away from that point onward. Using max_trace_level
within the photons statement of global settings?

Actually it had something to do with the IOR I was using...I changed it
and it fixed it (the render I'm doing right now is extremely peculiar,
I'll post when it's done in a few hours)

Up to the first mirror POV is computing illumination directly from the
light source, after that it is using media photons.
