No close [X] button... oh, that's supposed to be Win3.1? I don't remember
what things look like in that. I thought it looked like a special theme is
being used for the GUI. That button toolbar needs to be dragged down to the
second position so it is below the rendering animation.

Like Mark said it seems faked.  But it could be worth trying if current
WinPOV runs on Windows NT 3.5 (it surely won't run on Win 3.1)

Exactly- Win 3.1x- and look at two things to verify that.
    First, the upper right boxes tell the story, because of the buttons.
Second, look at the background- it has that old style background!  Little bits
like ants to "gray out" the desktop!
