Long time no post, so here is my latest work. Poser figures Angelyna by
Sharkey and Cyberdog (sorry, no readme in the zip) are both from Renderosity
free stuff. Arch and colums were modeled in SPatch. Rest is MegaPov 0.7.
There are 7 area lights in this scene and lots of emitting media.
Nevertheless render time was only about 6 hours on my 1.7 GHz P4. Hope you
like it.
Regrads, Christoph

My only complaints would be the dogs - they're kind of flimsy-looking -
and the texture on her skin, it's kind of plasticky. Otherwise, this is
pretty badass. :)

Definitely the "GE" in the lower right corner is in the wrong Font ! :-)
Everything else has some sort of unique style.

The devil dogs look more than a little misshapen, and some of the textures look
a little too shiny like plastic. But, that's about it for complaints. Everything
else about this image is HOT! >:] I particularly like that burning city in the
background. What technique did you use for that?

The technique is quite simple: the basic building is made of a difference
between an box and a small heightfield. The heightfield must be small and
irregular to give the building the look of a ruin. Then the buildings are
scaled, rotated and arranged in a circular are, largest in the middle with
some random scaling, too. Finally a brick texture is applied to the whole
thing overlayed with a starfield type of texture to give some brurning
windows. The flames on the ground is one emitting media with planar density.
Hope this is helps.

Thanks. That seems simple enough. Sometimes it's the simple things that are most
effective.
