Great cup, great texture (right amount of shine).

This reminds me too: http://www.rene-schwietzke.de/povray/images/office.jpg
Could you post the scene, please?
I would like to upgrade/improve my office image and your cup is a nice piece
for a renewed scene, if you give me the permisson to use your cup, of
course.

Bye
Rene

Thanks. As you will see in the scenefile, I do not usually use specular or
phong highlights, but rather fresnel reflection with visible lightsources.
The apperance of highlights in this type of modelling is highly dependent on
the scene setup.

See p.b.s-f for the mug and textures. Use as you see fit.

Cool ...

I never get tired of these. I don't know why.
It looks great. You should clean your cups more
often, maybe ...

Looks good! The handle needs to be attached a little better, though, and
the wood might look good with just a tiny bit of blurred reflection.

Now that I look at it again, the "corner" along the bottom edge of the
cup seems a bit sharp for a piece of glazed pottery, which is what I
assume this is...

Thanks. I need to figure out how to attach the handle better, as it is just
csg right now. Perhaps blobs.

Perhaps. It used to be lacquered, I guess I must've stripped it down.

Actually the bottom is rounded, it uses a flattened torus. I guess it's
just not apparent in this scene setup.

I did a similar cup for the "Worlds within Worlds" Round.
Here it is a crop of it taken from the 5763 x 3602 render.

Bye.

Back to RL work once again :-(

Mug looks good, especially the dirt part, but coffee is propably a bit
too opaque and has too sharp reflections, or something. It looks more
like black paint to me than coffee.
