Created with the density_file extension patch.

The 3D data (256x256x109, 2byte integer) was
obtained from POV-Ray FTP site long time ago.

Quite interesting (though bloody). I see you used tri-cubic interpolation.
How long was the rendertime with your CPU?

I seem to recall that MegaPOV could output a density file?

The 640x480 image takes 150 sec without AA and 310 sec with AA on my 600 MHz
CPU.
In the case of tri-linear interpolation, it takes 83 sec without AA.
By the way, the image with tri-linear interpolation is not bad for this data.

Impressive- did you assemble this from the "Atlas of the Visible Human
Male"? I have a copy and that's definitely the guy they sliced up. (no, I
didn't recognize his cerebellum...)

Cheers!
