Scene with 5 spheres with ambient 5

pic1 shows scene without focal blur
pic2 shows scene with normal pov 3.5 (colour clipped before focal blur)
pic3 shows scene with modified pov 3.5 (colour not clipped)

Actually there are more than 5 spheres :) no idea how I've come to this 
number.

This is an improvement! Is this a patch of yours?

I would think it could be even better though; the edges never really fade to
black in your modified version. Shouldn't the "confidence" keyword ensure a
nice fade?  If you used the same confidence in both versions, I don't know
why yours looks so grainy.
