I still want to be able to make my Poser model with its
eyes CLOSED. *grumble*

Yust an idea, try giving the eye an ior of 1.3, or so, and add fresnel
reflection. Then use no phong or specular. To get a highlight, put a
bright white disc behind the light_source.

Looks like a gamma problem, none of the blacks are really that black from
what I can see.
Pop in some spheres with full white and full black textures for reference.
Looks great though. The long hair is the only really unnatural feature, and
then only if you really look at it. In motion, I doubt you'd see it.

Man you're killin' me. I've been struggling with a bust for the lastest
irtc round. I'd be interested in what technique you are using to
texture your model. Also are the eyes separate objects? Are you using
alpha channel to get the hair?

Yes, hair always looks too thin in Pov. There's no simple solution, lighting,
distance, real specularity with pigment maps all help.
Still Poser 5 should allow real hair! can't wait.

I should be able to get the upgrade price for my copy of
Poser since I copied it from my illustration prof. in
college who openly said he hated it and never used it,
so I should be the only person using this serial number.
However, I'm gonna be checking out the demo beforehand;
if it still doesn't properly do shoulder/leg movement,
I'm just gonna hunt for a...cheaper alternative.
The face sculptor looks like an interesting toy, tho,
as does the hair generator and cloth simulation.

Check out this one. Admittedly, it is more to my taste than close to
your original picture, but at least it looks much more like the Vicky
I know :)

You've been playing with photoshop again! I like the colour balance but some of the
textural detail has gone and the highlights are
too strong!
