I created the geometry of a 747 engine. Now I need some textures to make it
more realistic.
Any tips? (I am a total newbie when it comes to applying textures to
objects).
The engine is composed out of:
- SOR
- LATHE
- CYLINDER
- SPHERESWEEP

A little rivet texture would be nice, and I would give it a fairly moderate
gloss coat of white paint. Nice job on the model.

Nice job,
Try adding some variable reflection to the texture, make it look like a car
finish, white like Charles suggested. You don't have to model the whole 747
but how about trying to add the engine mount/pylon and a simple macro for
the fan blades. With these two simple additions you could make a very
dramatic close up shot.

I am working on more parts of a 747. Currently I try to create some
realistic wings.
