Ok.This is the final attempt.
Some may say it looks a little washed out, but I think, it
now all fits together, the haze, the sky, the sun...
Added some instances of the heightfield to give
more depth to the image, adjusted the clouds and
sky...

Colour-wise, your sun is too 'warm'...try making it bluer.

Wonderful clouds, pow(!!!!,65535)
What were your sampling settings for the media, and render time?

If I didn't know it was snow I'd say it was a great desert...it's that
pink look and the terrain, looks like sand dunes. People usually
associate snow with white or blue.
Nice sky...the clouds look a bit low though. Maybe just too big. Not
unrealisticly so, just for these surroundings...I'd expect thin, high
altitude clouds.

Veery nice. You got the hazy feel down quite well. Gorgeous clouds too.

Thank you very much!

Sampling settings:
scattering{4,.1 extinction .6}absorption .05
method 3 intervals 1 samples 35,150
It took about 3.5 hours to trace on my 1.4GHZ
524MB RAM Win98 system.
Any questions remaining regarding the clouds?

I was already fiddling with the color of the light to get
a little more "white-component" to the snow. I'll try some
more.

I kinda like the clouds as they are, but I'll experiment.
