So I got the urge to do some matrixey text yesterday. This took 1 hour and a
half to render on my 1.33GHz AMD Athlon c. I did a little post-processing in
Photoshop to add the glow and the "POV-Trix" text in front. Enjoy.

"Unfortunately noone can be told what the POV-TRIX is..."

Damn nice, it goes for an *evocative* wallpaper.

Hehe

Thanks. By the way, the 1.5h render time is for the 1080x1600 version of
this.

Are the letters placed in 3D space at different distances? I'd *love* to see
an animation of the camera moving around in them as they fall.

Yes, they are. Doing it any other way would overly complicate things.

I still haven't worked out how to animate them, but when I do, I'll gladly
oblige you.

As soon as I figure out how to animate it, I'll post the source.

Thanks.

Perhaps it's more like this:

Unfortunately, no one can be told the source code of the POV-TRIX...

Hah, I've been working with POV so long, when I look at a scene, I
don't see the scene, I see code!

...ok, not really.

Isn't that quote supposed to be the other way around? That he didn't see
code, he saw "blond, brunette, redhead"?
