Just a quick test with my brand new copy of POV-Ray 3.5. The juice looks more like
tea, I know, I should have used scattering media, but I didn't have the time to play
with its settings, I had to turn back to my quantum physics...
It took me more or less 30 minutes to code and 2 hours and 25 minutes to render on an
Athlon 1 Ghz 384 MB.

Cheers,

Jonathan.

Jonathan,

Great image! Are you still working on your kitchen items? Your renders have
such reality--a call for a tutorial to help the rest of us!

Jack

kitchens without roaches --> not real. I know many people with fake
kitchens.

never mind. This is absolutely ROLEX-worthy.

Are those very small white blotches at the bottoms of the two closest
bottles radiosity artifacts?
And them bottles are a little bit distorted by the perspective. I had the
same problem with http://24.132.254.155/experiments/redpieces.png, so I
changed the camera in such a way there is absolutely no perspective left.
With that problem the pyramids at the left and the right were extremely
distorted and almost pointing to the sides.

I agree that Jonathan uses a great setup of light and reflections! The
textures impress me, and the window reflecting on the yellow plastic is much
more interesting than the usual round highlights. I never got that to work.

The render time is very low considering what is going on. I'd like an
explanation too.

Regards,
Hugo
