Hi

I've been doing a little bit more to my Longing picture and decided to do a
little closeup render of a part of it. Not really much more to say than
that, apart from this render took 4h 38m and used a peak memory of 90Mb.
Slight curves post-process in Paint Shop Pro.

I know that there isn't much detail yet but I just wanted to try out some
rad settings. The floor needs to be changed to stone and I need a window
sill with maybe some flowers or something. The fog needs to be a bit thinner
too.

Comments, criticisms and general motivational nudges are more than welcome

Kev

I hope you used zoomin.inc, if not it would have been a great help =)

I'd definitely like to see more work on the textures, just on the floor and
walls. I imagine a dark wood with red carpeting, for some reason. And
perhaps the girl should be hiding, rather than displaying her naked body out
the window? =)

Nope but I have got it and will do, this was just select a region and render
at higher res.

Textures are not even started yet, well apart from a default texture for all
except the wall which just has a simple gradient, the default texture was
boring me. Not sure where to go with the banister region, maybe will go for
wood, but stone seems a nice idea too, oh decisions, decisions., let's have
a vote, wood, stone or other (please specify). How about water filled glass
and fishes swimming around .... j/k

If I remember well the whole room, I think it is claiming for stone. I
envision it as that kind of building plenty of marble everywhere.

Well I just tried with some wood and it doesn't really work with the way the
posts and bannisters are set up. I think I'll stick to stone, not too sure
about marble though, a bit of a cliche really.

Well with the warm sun and only the sea in view, I'm sure she's more than
happy.
