I wrote POV code to take an existing image (in this case, my crayon image
from a few days ago), and convert it into blobs (using eval_pigment). It
divides the blobs by color depth ranges.
Gives the image a neat textured look. Reminds me of very thick paint.

Hey that's cool. Reminds me of some work I did a while ago with
eval_pigment in which cylinders were used instead of blobs. A search at
this news group might turn something up. I altered the Mona Lisa and one
of Vincent van Gogh's self portrait.

Yup, I remember Vincent's image. It's funny, I was going to use a picture
of Mona Lisa for mine too, not remembering that you did it already. Perhaps
your image was still in my memory somewhere. But I decided to go with this
image since it had more colours.
