Here's my newest output, after 7h29m of rendering. Well, at least I didn't
have to wait, as I went out with some friends... I don't have that much
patience!

I changed the lighting, the textures, the inner screw inside the bolt, and I
also added washers.
I modified a little bit the position of the rods underneath, I think it's a
bit better.

What do you think? Did it get better? What else can I change? I know it
still doesn't look as good as Jaime's, but I can't tell exactly why... I
know it must be something related to the lighting, but I'm still no expert
in that...

Well, I'll be very happy to receive any comment or suggestion.

I think it is fantastic! Very well done. The depth of field seems especially
realistic.

Very nice, one comment though, the texture on the sides of the bolts has a
bit of a stretched look, other than that looks good.

Hey! These are very realisitic! I think it is better in many aspects than
my attempt. The nut model is more accurate, and the focal_blur is nicer.
The lighting is very good, perhaps can be placed in a more interesting way
(but don't ask how, I usually try random positions!).

Thanks Kevin, but i'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean by stretched
look. Do you mean like if they were stretched vertically?

Fernando.

Oh, el gran Jaime!

Thanks for your comments. I really tried to imitate your nut model by trial
and error, so if you think it is more accurate, it was by mistake! :)
The focal blur is nicer, because I used 120 samples, but just because I was
going to be away from my computer for a while...

Thanks again for you comments, Jaime.

If you look at the sides of the bolts, the texture looks like it has been
streched up and down paralellel to the long axis of the bolt, I attached a
picture of an area were I noticed it. But like I said, other than that,
excellent image.
