-Thought I'd take a shot at reproducing the logo from the "Show No Mercy"
album cover... Here's my attempt, along with a scan of the actual cover for
comparison. I didn't even try to make the swords weave in and out of the
letters. I don't think it's possible, kind of like those "impossible
triangle" things or an M. C. Escher painting. I did try to get the sword
with the blood on the tip to cross over in front of the one on the right,
but I need to tinker with it some more when or if I get time. I did take
some artistic liberty and made the ruby gems on the ends of the sword
handles glow. :) Hard to believe this album is almost 20 years old!

Regards,
Dave Blandston

Very well modeled and rendered!
Really does take me back. I guess I'm gonna have to dig up my old
cassette tape of this and thrash about for old time sake :)

The letters still miss the third dimension, it would be nice if you could
add it. Also, the wood texture can be somewhat rawer.

Nevertheless, very nice pic!

My tape player died, but who cares, they're coming my way next month
anyway... although, considering I will only have the money for one
concert, having to choose between Joe Satriani and Slayer leaves me
with no option but ditching the latter... *sigh*
