With a small modification of a published macro I got this head full of pipes

The head will be a part of my current IRTC WIP after some small
improvements.

Now I have following general question:
What are the opinions in the community, if somebody includes such a modified
macro within the zip file of an IRTC entry (of course I will ask Gilles Tran
directly in this special case)?

I think what you are asking is whether you should include the modified
macro or instead simply point people to the original?

If you have Gille's permission to use it, use it, if you have his
permission to make changes and then distribute it, then do so, if it is
required to duplicate your image, all the more so. Sending people to see the
original will not let them see what you did to change it.

Give credit where credit is due including to credit yourself for the
changes.

Promising stuff.

No problem in this case, but I guess that it's a good policy to ask.

Gorgeous! Ochres and Greys, my favorite. Analytical cubism? Portrait of
Vollard?

Absolutely cool! I would love to see some sort of circuitry in the brain
area, but it's cool just like it is!
