I imagine someone running and jumping from one platform to the next, and
then crashing into the tree because they were going too fast and couldn't
stop. =)
Looks nice.

Perhaps I should add a first aid station =)
however actually I plan on building bridges between the platforms, I
probably should have mentioned that.

Hi,
Good start!
It seems your sky is a zero centered sphere. That looks not realistic ( your
clouds drops on the horizon), may be you can flatten that sphere.
Also, the sea is a normal bumped plane isn't it? Will you try an isosurface?
Cheers

There is something about this picture that I really like.. Perhaps it's the
colours.. It's very tropical.. The biggest problem is of course the water
horisont, and the strange cloud.
You could use a mild focal blur for the horisont. That shouldn't be slower
than a good AA setting. You could also add a bit of ground fog to the
horisont, but that's a typical "workaround" and not a realistic solution.
Regards,
Hugo

It's most probably a bumped plane, but I doubt an isosurface will change the
look.. Maybe it will be visible where the bridge hits the water surface, but
that part looks quite okay, as it is.. Of course, with stronger waves or a
storm, an isosurface / heightfield would be a "must".. :o)
By the way, the water pattern is a bit strange.

Hugo

ummm... yeah, I probably should have mentioned that the water and sky are
temporary. There heavly tweaked versions of the water and sky object from
Balcony.pov. When it comes down to more detail, I'd like to make the water
one bug iso, plus Rune and several other people were experimenting in p.b.a
with waves, I'd like to implement that for the water, that way I get ripples
that react with the environment.

epic quality, 'cept the clouds are falling off the edge of the earth.
If only *this* were what was meant by photorealism.........

I think the water looks too grainy... larger waves/ripples would do
better!
