Gilles - I hate you ;-)
well, not really - your images teach me each time my limits in imagination
and technical realisation ...
your image is impressive as usual

The foggy one looks better than the blurred one.
The blurred one looks a bit strange to me. To get that amount of blur at
that position in a photo, you'd have to use a big telelens. Then the
forground would also be blurred. Also the 'perspective' doesn't match with
a telephoto.

No you're right. There are some tiny twigs but looking closer I can see now
that some leaves actually float in the air. Weird. I'll have to check the
model.

camera { location <0, 1, -9>
direction z*1
sky y
up y
right x*image_width/image_height
look_at <0,2.5,0>
translate -x
}
I did play with smaller angles but I wanted the upper sky to show up.

the default angle:
~67.380 (direction_length=0.5*right_length/tan(angle/2))
in this image that would be the vertical angle.

One of the nice things of POV-Ray, one can use extreme apertures. A 17mm
lens with a DOF of a few mm's.

I know. Else I would have complained about the lack of blurr on the
mountains above the 2CV :)

Wouldn't be fair to guess/answer that now, after reading the other posts
on the subject.

Not that I'm sure of what it means anyway, which is why I keep using
"direction" instead...
