Hi again everyone,

I think I may just wind up entering a future version of this image in the
IRTC this round, that's why I put a signature on it... please don't
distribute this... thanks..

I warmed up the image by adjusting the sun color and position... I'm going
for a late afternoon setting... you know, that "golden time" right before
sunset.

Anyways, I'm having some issues with my photons... they are working very
well, but I'm getting speckles behind the top of the columns... I'm assuming
that this is because I need to use more photons, but thought I should ask
first. The image rendering stats and pic follow, input is appreciated.

- Chris

Is that why everything looks yellow?
I'm sorry, but I think the yellow destroys the image...

Umm, I must disagree.. I love it.. Very inviting colors, but I think the
water is a bit too blue.

I agree and imho the yellow has too much green in it. I checked the values
from the wall and every sample of the about 20 colors I checked had more
green than red in them.
I am optically challenged when it comes to red/green so that might also
explain why it seems to have too much green for me.

I'm also red/reen colorblind (to a point) so the subtle changes are hard for
me to recognise.
In this instance the sun is:
color rgb (1.0, 1.0, 0.214)*.5713
There is also a white sphere near it for the radiosity setup.

I have a version rendering right now with high quality rediosity turned on
and photons set to count = 400000. It looks like its going to be a lot more
gold colored from the photons reflecting on the wall, its been running 9 hrs
so far at 1280X1024 AA0.1 it'll probably take another 9 to finish, at least.

I have to say I side with Hugo on this one I like the colour. Though perhaps
it is just a bit too saturated. To tell you the truth I like both versions,
your last one has a stark almost unwelcoming feeling to it, which is a good
thing not a bad thing, while this one has more of a warm feeling, as you
described it "golden time". The water is improved quit a bit, but perhaps
you might want to tone down the bright blue sky, usually at this time of day
the sky is getting dark anyway.

And we have only our mothers to blame ;)

Good. Like I said it's mostly just the excess green that's bothering me a
bit in the image.
