Just an update on my progress. I have been working on the bowsprit and
masts. I have been experimenting with/changing the chain11.inc file to allow
me to make deadeyes and chainplates for the shrouds.
I am also still experimenting on a painted wood texture, but am not happy
with the results yet.
I am beginning to envision a sailor standing on the deck and looking up to
the sky to see the distorted vision of a child as seen through a glass
bottle.
I'll post more as the work continues.
Tim

Isn't this one of the ships that are at the
century, in the St-Catharines shipyards ?

She was sunk for preservation soon after the war ended & rebuilt once in the
30's, and I believe in the eighties. I'm not sure where she was initially
launched. She has been rebuilt and is currently home ported in Erie PA. I
hope to go see her this summer.
Thanks,
Tim

Maybe I was thinking of the HMS Niagara
by a storm in the late 1800s
Anyway, I'm eager to see it finished.
Best,
