Very nice. The buildings are interesting as is the layout of the scene
itself. I see the snow layer illusion as well. Also, is the pattern in the
street meant to be paint, or a projection from somewhere?

Very impressive, but the snow stuff looks out of place.

Except for the Necronomicron looking icons on the building to the left, I think this
looks familiar. Northern Europe perhaps?
The potatos? on the tables to the right need more detail in the texture.
Otherwise, startling effort, as usual.

I always like your images, because they are so "busy". There is always a
lot of stuff in them, which gives them a certain feel of realism.
On the other hand, there is something about the proportions of your
buildings (and ships in a previous image), that seems oddly "off", and
that for me, detracts from the realism. On the other hand, it seems to
be a consistent style, and if that is the way things look in the
Castleworks universe, who am I to criticize?
It took me a while to realize, that the yellow pattern on the ground was
light from the lantern. The shadows seems to be a little too sharp.
Perhaps a small arealight in the lantern, instead of a point light,
would help.
I assume that the banding of the snow, that people mention, can be
remedied with better antialiasing. I tend to use aa0.01 +r6 for detailed
images.

Very good modeling of the environment as usual.
Additionally your WIP radiates an unusual attracting atmosphere. Hard to
beat, if it goes further as intended.
