That look very good.
Are you willing to share the source to learn from?

Nice looking pic. I'll bet the render time for even this small one was a
little harsh. Do you feel energized after your plant macro vacation?

sure. I don't think that you'll learn much from it since I am not an
advanced user. However, I'll post it ASAP.
thanks for feedback,

Don't even ask! *g*
Indeed, this 320x240 AA0.3 pic took ages to render. To be honest: I ran a
pic overnight but had to stop it after 9h of trace. Then I reduced max trace
level and photons a bit, turned off iriscedence (and faked it)..... then it
was manageable. (But I misused my PC in the office which is a PIII 500MHz.
At home it wouldn't finish ever!)

Yes, indeed. Doing some transparent stuff clears the mind .-) If everything
goes right I have some spare time on the weekend. I'll use it to clean up
the macros a bit and start some new plants or other objects I want to use in
the final scene. Unfortunately the fern still needs some work....

LOL!

You know you've been raytracing too long when you render a diamond to try
to clear your mind:-))

:-)
But it helps. It is a clear, transparent object, some reflections a lot of
refractions.....
Something completely differernt than plants :)
