It's a sphere sweep along a cubic spline.

An impressive effort- it looks good, although "CGI"-ish, but that is
part of the charm. The controller should be a little thicker, though, my
only nitpick.
Cheers!

rounding the corners of the thing will remove part of the CGI-ishness. The
corners are a bit sharp IMHO.

But probably your first binary post. Please consider more efficient graphics
format (jpg, png, gif) when you will post next time. If you don't see the
difference please compare average size of last ten images posted here and size
of your image. Perhaps it could be worth to spend some time in faq group for
rules. Nice image, btw :-)

JPG or PNG (much smaller file sizes)
looks very good, i would move the camera closer and up a bit. make the
nes fill the screen.
i would worry about the wire text, if nobody is going to notice - dont
model it!
if radioasity isnt making a huge difference to your image, render
without, and tweak in your paint app of choice

Please read the messages in povray.announce.frequently-asked-questions,
especially the ones about posting guidelines. ("Where can I post my
binary or text file?")
Not only is this a Windows Bitmap, it is huge, a JPEG would be much
smaller. Many people simply won't bother to download it because of the
size, and some people pay by the time they are connected.

Welcome aboard, nice image. The red text looks a bit too bright, asthough
you've used ambient in the texture on it, I think it'd maybe look more
photorealistic if you make the red text darker and take any ambient out
on that texture of it.
Also the image that you posted was way too bit, over 900K. If you open the
image in a graphics editor/converter such as photoshop or IrefanView you can
save the image to a jpg and bring the size down considerably. I've just
done a test here and saved it to a jpeg file format at only 29K (same
resolution as your original). I also saven another version with less
compression to 109K and it is impossible to tell the difference between
the .bmp you posted and this .jpg.
Please don't be discouraged by any of this, we all make these kinds of
mistakes at first.
Keep up the good work.

To e honest I did look for a FAQ, I just didn't think that it'd have its own
group. Still I shoulda known better. I just wasn't paying any attention at
all
to what file type I was using. Just dragged and dropped the image. Sorry
'bout
that.

We all start that way.

Image map, or I think the object pigment in POV 3.5 might work.
Are you going to plug it into a TV and start playing Duck Hunt or what?
P.S. Not to say anything bad about such a good image, but if you want me to
super-critical, then round the corners ;) you can see the perfectly square
corners easily in this
P.P.S. As others have said don't post as a .bmp
Can Mac news-readers show Windows Bitmaps?
