I can imagine making a batch of these with a plastic "bone" and some
sort of hard candy on the outside and selling them as "meat pops". Just
imagine the little ones in the store checkout line, where all that junk is
stashed so when your kids shoplift it and eat it, you are extorted into
paying for that stuff.
"Mom! Dad! I wanna meat pop!"
Cheers!

It looks a little like opaque red amber. Try making it a lot less red and
more pink, also raw meat is usually fairly slimy, so you might want to raise
the specular.

Interesting.
How many control points did you use
for each of these two patches ?

It looks very crystalline...meat is usually not that pure red, there
don't seem to be any shadows on it, and light appears to be glowing
through it. It even tints the shadows red. The texturing looks odd too,
almost like a stretched image map, and the fat is too pure white. It
does look very much like candy...strawberry cream or something. A very
nice crystalline effect, not a very meaty one.

Your shape is fine, but the meat itself looks a little too.. ehm.. syrupy.
Like someone took a big puddle of dirty maple syrup and dipped some
(excellently-modeled) chicken bones into it.
