This is an update of the Berserk, the ship I posted last week. I decided to
drop one of the 3 pods, because it resembled the Liberator too much. It's still
not finished at all, but it probably never will be :)
The lensflare is a custom lenseffect for Colefax' lenseffects-includefile.
The signature is also a custom lenseffect :)

The image is quite dark on my monitor.
It might be worth playing with the assumed_gamma setting.
The ship looks good though.

Really great modeling. The only problem now is that the realism of the rest
of the ship makes the glow on the back (engines?) look out of place and of a
lesser quality (even though it's hardly visible from this angle). There's
also a green dot floating out in space, not sure if that's wanted or not.

hmmm, looks fine here in OE and in PSP (with gamma-correction on)

tnx :)

the glowing sphere (which is indeed the engine :) is supposed to look like a
perfect smooth sphere, so adding detail to that part, would break the idea. The
metal parts around the sphere however, should indeed have some more detail.

it's part of the lensflare. Maybe a bit too bright indeed.

Not bad.
I think the lens flare is a bit too prominent, though. Maybe make it
smaller and whiter. Also note that the background starfield wouldn't be
visible when looking so close to a close-up star--the glare would wash out
the background completely.

You're right. But you know what they say about the moon-photos: "it's fake,
cause you can't see no stars!" :)
Realism isn't always what people expect.
If you really want a "realistic" picture of this ship, you'd get just a
black spot, cause there should only a light behind the ship (the sun). The
planet wouldn't be visible either, so you'd just get the lens-flare, which
you think is too bright. So if I make it smaller, all you get is a small
flare. Not really interesting huh? :)
