It's coming along as expected, although a bit slower than I thought it
would. One complaint thoug: I'm using max_trace_level 100 and I still get
artifacts. If somone can help me get rid off them without leaving the
resullt for my descendants to check, I'll be very grateful. The settings
are:

  radiosity {
    pretrace_start 0.08
    pretrace_end   0.005
    count 400
    error_bound 0.1
    recursion_limit 1
  }

Anyway, I guess now I can start composing the scene, since I have all the
elements I need.

Comments are welcome.

Ruy

I am not a rad expert (far from it), but I get good results with...

pretrace_start 0.01
pretrace_end 0.005
error_bound 0.25
count 300
nearest_count 7

I can also remember posts about radiosity slowing considerably with transperent
objects, though I have no experience rendering such scenes.

I'm not a rad expert either, so;
First of all, nice concept. The textures on the fish are a bit weird;
maybe you could do something with a repeat warp or an isopigment to
produce a scale effect? The texture on the gravel iso/hf is a bit weird
as well.
Don't forget the miniature human skeleton!

Is this for the 3dluvr contest ?

(if yes, you might need to read the assignment more carefully)

Fabien.

  I think your first "face" designs were more interesting. The expresion on
these seems a bit too aggressive.

  Indeed, I'm still wondering what the concept is!

No, actually it's for the current IRTC. I didn't even know about the 3dluvr
contest, but thanks for the heads up.

Yes, I agree. I guess the teeth and the fiendish eyes are largely
responsible for that.

Well, it's nothing much, really, it has to do with worlds of imagination
inside each one of us, but I hope I can make that a tad more evident with
the final render.
