Here is another fish I did for my surreal aquarium. It's all hamaPatch, but
sadly I've lost the params to this texture, which I really like. I must have
done a couple dozen tests to get it back, but all to no avail.
Anyway, what do you think?

nice modeling,
May be you could use a less uniform texture (different textures for the body
and the other parts)

Actually my first intention was to have it textured using uv_mapping. My
main goal was to terxture it with a tiger skin. But since I only have
freeware tools (POV, HamaPatch, objuvpov, etc.) I couldn't.
Yesterday I got this Poser 3 CD (thanks again, Tom), and I'll try with that
and Gilles' tutorial on UV-Mapping.

The lidded eyes make it look like a rabbit or something. Is this the surreal
effect you are seeking?

Yes, you could if you export your hamapatch model as .obj file, and open it
with UV-mapper (http://www.uvmapper.com), wich is also freeware, to do the
UV-mapping, and later objuvpov to export it as a mesh or mesh-2 for Povray
3.5 or Megapov.
you can also try Lithunwrap (http://www.geocities.com/lithunwrap) to do the
UV-mapping job (it's freeware too).
Hope this helps.
Bye.

Well, it's part of it, for sure, but not all. I've just finished moddelling
it, and I guess pretty soon I'll post it. Gotta just texturize it first.

I forgot to mention uvmapper. I've got it also. I tried to do it with
uvmapper, and couldn't get it to do what I wanted. The object came back from
objuvpov correctly, but the map never came back at all with the model. I'll
have to go back to the tutorial then...

Ah, now this looks promising.
Thanks a bunch, Txemi. BTW, how do you say that in Eusquera? (sp?)
