Started this 4 or 5 days ago and finally got this far, my main problem are
the radiosity artifacts below the casings. Second proplem is the media I
used for the sun, needs a little tweaking. Anyone have any
suggestions/comments?

radiosity settings are as follows ( tweaked from the balcony sample file )

  radiosity {
   pretrace_start .08
   pretrace_end   .001
   count 750
   nearest_count 4
   error_bound .3
   recursion_limit 1
   low_error_factor .5
   gray_threshold 0
   minimum_reuse .015
   brightness 1
   adc_bailout .01/2
   media on
  }

I am sure the sun is the largest item in the solar system

I like the sun, it really looks like bright gas sphere.

Obviously the sun isn't to scale, but it would be pretty hard to get a
recognizable overview of the entire scene it it would be.

Any reason why you've chosen to not put the sun on a pedestal, like you've
done to all the planets?

Also, I notice that you've included Earth's moon, but left out the moons of
the other planets...

Exactly what I was thinking

If i'd used a pedestal for the sun then to make it look correct, I would
have had to use photons, I've been trying to avoid that, I've benn rendering
the final for the last 3 days.

phobos and deimos the moons of mars are odd shapes and I really don't want
to model them, second I was having trouble locating good satellite images of
the other moons.
