Hi all,
Well here is the latest test. It still needs to be translated up a bit and
I'm not happy with the bit at the bottom where it gets way too light. Now on
to the rest of the scene.
Render stats: 13meg used, parse - 5s, trace - 4hrs 47 mins. Athlon 1.33GHz
Comments and criticisms more than welcome

Even so it looks great, although I wonder if it still needs more transparent
area within there, kind of solid now. The far right looks perfect despite
that.

I do like the bottom part that gets lighter. I think is better than your
previous post.
Good work,
Fernando.

Thanks, I know what you mean about the solid look, must of the left hand
side will be covered by another object and part of the right, hopefully I
can position the objects so that the better parts are shown.

Thanks, I think it is much better too, I feel this is the way that it will
be in the final render.

Thanks, sorry but only MegaPOV or POV 3.5, isosurfaces you see.

Nice - one question:
Can you render it 'bare' of leaves? Are there branches in there?
I'm doing something with a large explosion for an animation, and it would be
pretty neat if I could show a shock wave blowing the leaves off the shrub.
However, at 4hrs, I doubt this would be realistic in an animation ...
thoughts?

Sorry just one big isosurface, no branches, apart from the roots. Wouldn't
really work for an explosion. You could always try the leaves that come with
Gilles Tran's Make Tree macro (www.oyonale.com) they may be useful.
