I'm tired. I want start IRTC since two years or more but I'm always too busy.
This month my company involved me in business problems so I can't finish again
(or choose simpler idea). So I decided to post image here just for comments. I
can't show more becouse nothing is finished but I can describe my idea. It is
wide panoramic sky of asia. My idea was to put contrasting elements - Mount
Everest on left horizont, skyscrapers on center horizont, chinese New Year's
fireworks on right horizont. Somewhere fire from explosion with smoke morphing
to face of Osama Bin Laden. At front along whole image Great Chinese Wall (like
spaghetti) with some towers. Below it hole in slope with japanese fastest train
in motion blur. Many people on wall: soldiers, clerks, farmers, traditional
chinese dragon, small budda etc. Asia from day to night, from peace to war, from
newtech to rise fields, legends and religion.

That's a very interesting - if extremely large - idea. Too bad you say you
can't finish it in time for the deadline.
I used to have a similar problem, and I partially solved it by chopping 1.5
hours off my dayly sleep. Instead of waking up at 6:30AM, I wake up at
5:00AM and do my rendering/modelling. I get 6 hours of sleep, and get to
play when the children are asleep, the wife doesn't want anything with me
and the job is still three hours away. Now all I have to do is triple my POV
skills and increase my creativity by a couple of orders of magnitude...

That looks and sounds very promising, too bad you won't be able to finish
it. I hope i can get my submission finished in time...

Definitely an interesting idea. A pain you won't finish it in time.
As far as I'm concerned, I couldn't come up with a good idea and won't enter
this round :-(
Thus, again, only one partecipation this year.

It's a shame for the both of you. I don't think I saw any of the 'better'
POV
artist in the last IRTC. No Jaime, Gilles, H.E.Day, N. O'Brien...

I don't think I've entered in about 2 years. It's starting to annoy me that
I can't
create anything even remotely artistic or thought provoking. I guess TV has
just
made me numb.

I'm thinking that with all that stuff the picture might feel a bit 'clumped
up'.
Quite an ambitious project, though. Not doubting that you could pull it off.

Very Nice sky. You did a good job of reducing the warping of the moon.
There are several escher like things you could do with this. I can't
wait to see more of it.

Does anyone remember my entry for "Insects & Spiders", that was done in
only 4 days? (The filename is gkinfest; it's about halfway down the
comments page.) I was quite proud of that accomplishment; mind you, the
picture was pants!
