But the 'floor' could be a semi-transparent sky-blue perspex, (ok,
opaque).

Yet, the reflections of the floor look a bit too *glowing* to me. That said,
I like it very much.

So do I, I just had another look and I think you're right.
Those finishes though, are almost 'marcasite' to me. Very close.
