I'm a new reader in these POV newsgroups, and are amazed on what many of you
are achieving. However I keep seeing two words frequently and still haven't
the slightest idea of what they mean.

a) What is a WIP?
b) What are photons? (not in the physical sense but in the "POV"-sense) I
can't find it in my POV 3.1a help. Is it a new feature of the new beta?

Any brief explanation will be highly appreciated,

WIP = work in progress, and yes, photons are a MegaPOV / 3.5 beta feature
which simulates lighting caused by refraction and reflection.

Hi Fernando,
The explanation given by Slime is OK, I've got nothing more to say.
I'm curious, are you from Spain or another country which speaks in Spanish?
If this is the case, I wanted to tell you there is a section in this
newsgroups
recently created called: "Povray.international", where you can ask your
doubts
or share your experience with povray in your own language.
(As you said you are a newbie, I thought you may find it useful).
