I followed Kari's advice, put extinction 1 and multiplied the diffuse value
by 20. At the right is the same model with an opaque texture instead of the
filtered 0.9 one. Graininess is just a badly tuned bump map.
So it looks much better but now the triangles are visible (and I can't get
rid of the eyebrow artifact but perhaps I should try another converter).
Very promising however.
