The only light source in the scene is inside his mouth. It lights a rather
small area of the wall (outside the image; perhaps about a half of the
size of the back wall).
  I'm quite surprised about the lack of artifacts in this image, specially
taking into account that the render time was only 9 minutes.

Why couldn't I have come up with a cool character like Spacedog?!?

BTW, what did he have for lunch, Jajapinos? That the glow from his
mouth could light up a room is impressive.

The problem with not-so-high radiosity settings is that lighting does not
look so realistic...
Can you make him spit fire?
