I've stuffed some trigonometrics on the spiral-sphere, posted by Chaps on
Oct 4. Instead of the 2+ hours of rendering, the 1024x768 AA0.3 version of
this one took me 2d17h38m27s to render, with a record max_gradient of 247
(still on the Celeron 600Mhz, 128MB RAM, WinMe I have at work).
Does it bring William Blake to anyone else's mind, or am I just being way
too self-indulgent?

I like this "2D" effect.
I just tried the version proposed by R. Suzuki, it seems to be much faster,
I'll try it during weekend and try to understand. Anyway I got a new PC at
home much faster: less than 3h :o)))))
Chaps.
