Very nice.  Try adding a slight bump normal to the glass and an even
slighter one to the mirror.
Also you might want to try making the mirror like a real on by adding a thin
plane of glass in front of it so you get the double reflection seen in
mirrors at shallow angles.

  I don't know how something that is automatically computed by POV-Ray
can be wrong, if POV-Ray itself isn't wrong. I think you are confused by
the realistic specular light reflected from the mirror to the right
wall. I would suggest a not so frontal light, to show this effect
better. 

  The only thing I see wrong here is the shadow/caustics casted by the
glass jar, wich looks like the shadow of a wire-frame object, I supose
it is due to the fact it is a mesh. Anyhow, very good pic... seems that
it is going to be a serious scene.

The reflection looks like it has placed the vase on the wrong side of the
mirror and too far back on the table.  From this viewing angle and the close
proximity of the vase to the mirror I would expect the reflection of the
vase to be on the right hand side of the mirror, not the left hand side as
it appears in the image.  Also, I would expect the reflection of the vase to
appear much closer to the with much more table appearing in the mirror.  In
the image, the reflection of the vase appears to be much closer to the edge
of the table farthest away from the mirror rather than being close to the
mirror.

The normal is bozo.  I had to use #version 3.1 to get that look (I used
POV-Ray 3.5 beta2).  I know the photons don't look right but I'm still
working on that.  As for the placement of the mirror, I just let POV-Ray
take care of what the output looks like :).

IMO it would look even more realistic, if you tilted the mirror just a
little bit, or if there would be a tiny space between it and the wall. Now
it looks like it's clued to the wall and not hooked (if this is an English
word) to it.

Shouldn't the reflection in the mirror be blurred?
