I have just been playing around with Isosurfaces in 3.5.

Looks like I am going to have to read my old maths books again to create
something really nice.

Cool. What's the texture on the spherelike things? Clear with a high irid?

I wa thinking skin but really was just playing around to get a feel for
isosurfaces. With a different texture the blobs might make good western
tumbleweeds.

Thanks for the comment

The texture was a bit messy but here it is
  texture{
    pigment{
      spherical
      pigment_map{
         [0.0 rgbt 1*<0,1,0,0.75>]
         [0.1 rgbt 1*<1,0,0,0.675>]
         [0.12 rgbt 1*<0,1,0,0.675>]
         [0.2 rgbt 1*<1,0,0,0.6>]
         [0.22 rgbt 1*<0,1,0,0.6>]
         [0.3 rgbt 1*<1,0,0,0.525>]
         [0.32 rgbt 1*<0,1,0,0.525>]
         [0.4 rgbt 1*<1,0,0,0.45>]
         [0.42 rgbt 1*<0,1,0,0.45>]
         [0.5 rgbt 1*<1,0,0,0.375>]
         [0.52 rgbt 1*<0,1,0,0.375>]
         [0.6 rgbt 1*<1,0,0,0.3>]
         [0.62 rgbt 1*<0,1,0,0.3>]
         [0.7 rgbt 1*<1,0,0,0.225>]
         [0.72 rgbt 1*<0,1,0,0.225>]
         [0.8 rgbt 1*<1,0,0,0.15>]
         [0.82 rgbt 1*<0,1,0,0.15>]
         [0.9 rgbt 1*<1,0,0,0.0.075>]
         [0.92 rgbt 1*<0,1,0,0.075>]
         [1.0 rgbt 1*<1,0,0,0.0>]
      }
    }
    finish{
      reflection 0.6
      metallic
    }

As you can see, it is only red and green but the high reflectiveness
combined with the ground and sky make for quite a nice texture
