Exercise:
Close your eyes and pick at random an object from your desk. Open your eyes
and watch what you've taken. Now you have to model it. That's just what I
did today (well, at first I picked a boring pen, but modelling it wasn't
really exciting...). I still have to work on the textures, these ones are
just temporary (even if they look quite close to the original). Gamma
correction was performed to brighten things a little bit.
Comments are welcome.

Looks good. Looks like the hard rubber that some of mine are made of.
Now I'm waiting to see the render of looking through them ;)

They are there indeed, but the lighting doesn't allow to see them (I'll fix
it).

Looks like the stuff on your desk is like what's on my desk: Headphones,
CD's CD cases, pens/markers, loose paper, books, bottle caps,
screwdrivers,
bathroom soap dish, tape measure, paint ball glove (only one), waterbed
temperature control, pocket knife and key set, flashlight batter, large
bottle of Tums@ antacid, more tools, an old Timex Sinclair 1000, a spare
keyboard with dvorak keys....
and my computer/monitor/keyboard setup.

Should have seen it before I cleaned up.

Hm... Those binoculars look like a pretty decent start for a pair of
spaceship thrusters/exhausts as well. :-)
