Nearly finished with this I think. I need to work on the dragon's bump map
and the person's texture. ragon's flame has been removed until I'm happy
with the dragon's position.
Still need to model a torch for the person to hold, and I think some of the
bones and stones
are intersecting.
Caption for the image:

I think the cave itself is pretty good. I would put an additional
texture layer on the redstone cave walls. maybe it's just me but they
look to smooth and clean.
the person looks ok, I think the torch is a great idea. The dragon looks
good, for some reason the perspective looks like it's small rather than
being distant, but I dunno off the top of my head how to fix that...
overall, great work, keep em comin!

Debris scattering looks okay to me. Dragon is very dark but I'm guessing
with fire there it would be lit more. You could put the light_source alone
in for testing and that shouldn't be too much of a slowdown.
Oh yeah, guess the caption requires a dark, as of yet, unseen dragon...
Could be a perfect animation. Fire billowing out and illuminating it as the
guy turns to see.

Something fundamental has changed between this and the last post.
It's so much better now. It has a much more grittie feeling to it,
which might just be caused by a small change in the sand texture
or something like that.
Keep going in that direction.

Haven't touched the sand texture, I moved the lights down closer to the
ground
I think the lower lights picks up the small irrecularities in the height
field
better.

Using a simple cylinder to get correct location and direction for the fire.
I'll add a fairly dim
light to the fire. I don't want the dragon too bright.

Hey, I knew that :-) Had to suggest it though.

I haven't noticed that. However, I'd make more stalag{t,m}ites and I would
remove the back wall of the cavern, or at least make it deeper.
The dragon would need scales. Not exactly easy to get right...
I've joined a middle-age-like drawing of a dragon, for inspiration, maybe :-)
and a few periodic tiles that may look ok for dragon skin.
And, while you're at it, why not make it guard precious dragon balls ?

I've got a bump map with scales. I was using the bump map, but removed
it to try and save memory, thinking the difference wouldn't be visible, but
it is.

Had some treasure. It looked terrible so I removed it.

I would have the dragon appearing from behind the pillar/wall on the right.
