I gave up on the wizard. Look at my CSG knight instead! Well.. it's completely
unfinished yet, but I hope I can add hands and feet, a sword and a shield. I'm
not sure why I was progressing so slowly, there's of course no way I could
even half finish the picture in the remaining time now. Probably I did too
many slow test renders. Especially the media fog was extremely slow with
radiosity turned on, so I removed it for now. When I originally saw that there
are two month of time for the IRTC, I thought it would be plenty of time - but
now I see that I could never finish a scene in this time. I'm not even sure
what I should still add now until the submission date, besides finishing the
arch, background mountains and the knight. Originally I was planning to have
each column with a different theme, and different creatures, items and people.
They would cast a spell which would unite towards the arch in some cool
lightning effect.. I think I'm going to finish it, and post the final version
here in a year or two :)

Well it's very neat stuff whatever it is, I think you could show this to
people and they'd think it's a photograph. Has that kind of look.

Thanks :) Actually, I'm not even sure what exactly is causing the realistic
look, I think it was when I put in the new stone columns. :)

Those columns are impressive. This has come a long way since what you
first posted...
