Well, it's been a while (almost two years?) but I'm back. Probably not for
long.
Anyway, this picture i've been working on has a few problems, especially
concerning radiosity:
I am trying to make radiosity work here. Can anyone tell me how to do this?
I want to the red thingys on the top panel to glow, and also the big red
self destruct button and text. However when I do radiosity this is what
comes out.
BTW, i need this in regular pov 3.1 radiosity, not MegaPov.
Should I use lights or ambient objects? and HOW?
Being stupid AND lazy I copied some of the radiosity settings right out of
Toney[B]'s panzer.

Thanks in advance
Noam.

I believe the trouble here is that radiosity will combine the pigments, red
and blue in this instance. However, I'm not seeing much of any radiosity in
the entire scene anyhow for some reason so I don't know why this scene lacks
what Tony's had.
Anyway, you'll pretty much have to use media atmosphere and lights if you
don't go with MegaPOV 'glow'. Or maybe even just a trick of custom spot
lighting shining only on areas where there should be an aura on the adjacent
object.
Heck, on second thought forget that. Just create duplicates of all lit
objects and fill them with emitting media, scaling them a bit larger but
still in the same postions.

Using settings for Megapov radiosity with Povray 3.1 won't lead to
acceptable results. You should really consider using the new radiosity
since it will lead to better results in general, you will find more people
being able to supply help and suggestions and it will be the only model
supported by future Povray 3.5.

For the old radiosity you might consult the Povray help file, try the
settings in rad_def.inc and have a look at:
