Looking great, even in close-up.

I will try and fit St. Pauls into this version, and post an incremental
update.

Looks very good, especially those 'curtains'. I have made a new texture
for the steps, see attached image, the code is in p.b.s-f.

High!
Awesome... how do you these wall textures - just image maps, procedurally or
even a mix of both?
The features on the opposite wall still appear somewhat flat...

It's all image maps. Which in turn are the combination of my photos
(stones & concrete) and hand-made images (walls).
Usually I model/draw the house on graph paper then scan it and use that
image as a template in painting program. I think it's possible to use
orthographic camera for the same purpose but it didn't work for me.
Almost all basements are heightfields.

Yep, it's not painted yet :)

Yes, that adds more 3D to the image :)

I like this version!
I've tried to add some wooden posts using my trunk
isosurfaces. But I cannot make the top of post look
like a real top :)

Your cathedral dictates high level of details on houses too :)
Actually all image maps are just 1/3 of original images. I did
that for the sake of filesize. Also I used very high JPEG compression
for the same purpose. For the final image I'll make high resolution
non-compressed image maps.
Gena.
