Added houses to the right side of the street. As a next step
I will add more details to the left side of the street - bumps/cracks
to the walls, heightfields to the basements etc.
The source is in p.b.s.-f.

It looks like we have to scale down a little bit houses, figures in the
foreground and stair to have the same proportions with cathedral
as in the original painting.

Gena.

Street? Is it a street? Must have been raining... :)

Pulling the camera back, and perhaps raising it a little, may help
somewhat. It seems to me we are a bit closer to the foreground objects
in the rendering than in the painting.

Did everyone finally agree to a certain scene setup concerning the lighting
(sunlight, radiosity, atmospheric effects)?

I just now fixed up the front of the cathedral a bit and rendered with
somewhat of a change to lighting and fog. Not that the entrance.inc file is
very much different but I'll post that in reply to the latest version zip
file (15, I think) at p.b.s-f. because it does have some needed changes
done. I haven't made any progress besides.

The current files are looking beautiful, the houses and steps and people and
boats.

You are aware that I am working on the cathedral?

Here is what I have done so far, now with Jim Charter's clock figures.

OK, something obviously went wrong with the image upload, but this was
the fourth try, so I give up.

Oh I see. Okay. That's excellent work! I can still make it out even with the
messed up JPG file. Had just now saw and replied to Jim at the scene-files
group.

Gee, that's going to improve the picture a thousand-fold.
